Müller Schupfner & Partner Appointed to the Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre of the Unified Patent Court

Müller Schupfner & Partner (MSP) has reached another important milestone in its international IP and dispute resolution practice. Our partner F. Peter Müller and our Of Counsel Dr. Michael Gross have been officially appointed to the list of neutrals of the Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC) of the Unified Patent Court for a fixed term of five years starting on 1 January 2026, following a review by the PMAC Director and Expert Committee.

This appointment reflects the depth of experience, professional standing, and international reputation that MSP brings to complex patent and intellectual property disputes. Both Peter Müller and Dr. Michael Gross have been accredited to act as Mediator, Associated Mediator, Member of an Arbitral Tribunal, and Expert. In addition, Peter Müller has also been accredited as Sole Arbitrator and Emergency Arbitrator.

The Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC) is the specialized dispute resolution body of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) for resolving patent disputes through mediation, arbitration, and other appropriate alternative dispute resolution mechanisms. The PMAC is an integral part of the UPC, with its governance and financing embedded within the UPC’s overall institutional framework.

These appointments underline MSP’s continued commitment to excellence, credibility, and leadership at the interface of law, technology, and international dispute resolution. We look forward to contributing our expertise to the work of the PMAC and to the global IP community, including at the First PMAC Dispute Resolution Forum, which will take place as part of the Unified IP Summit on 1–2 June 2026 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
