Training as a patent attorney (candidate)
We regularly train engineering and science graduates to become patent attorneys. This training takes about three years, of which the first two years are completed at our office. This is followed by legal clerkships at the German Patent and Trademark Office, the District Court and the Federal Patent Court and the final examination.
We offer a comprehensive training programme in all areas of industrial property with individual supervision. With us, you will handle industrial property rights (patents, trademarks and designs) at all stages of proceedings, e.g., draft patent applications, prepare infringement analyses and also gain experience in conducting oral proceedings and counselling interviews.
For our international clientele, who expect fast and excellent advice from us at all times, you need very good German and English skills, commitment and the ability to grasp complex issues quickly and present them linguistically in a concise and clear manner.
