Müller Schupfner & Partner adds the experienced chemist and patent attorney Dr. Christoph Heinemann to its team in March 2019. Dr. Heinemann will join the firm as partner and will further expand the chemistry department of the Munich location together with the patent attorney Dr. Christine Huber.
Dr. Heinemann has been active in intellectual property since 2001. For the past 13 years, he was partner in a Munich patent law firm and was the head of both the chemistry and trademark departments. He brings with him experience in the fields of organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, galenics, and life science. Dr. Heinemann earned his doctorate at the Max-Planck Institute in Munich. He then worked at the Stanford University and in the research division of Bayer AG.
“Christoph Heinemann will greatly strengthen the Munich chemistry department and help carry on a long tradition. Our firm was specialized in chemistry upon its founding in 1931, and from these roots, we have now grown and diversified,” said F. Peter Müller, patent attorney and managing partner of the Munich practice.
“With the addition of Dr. Heinemann, there will be considerable synergy and a strong connection between the chemistry departments of the Hamburg and Munich offices,” added Dr. Georg Schupfner, managing partner of the Hamburg practice.
“I look forward to this new challenge and am pleased to be able to further strengthen the team of this renowned law firm,” stated Dr. Heinemann.
With Dr. Heinemann, the chemistry department of Müller Schupfner & Partner is now composed of four accredited professionals, namely two partners, a junior partner, and one associate.
